A Celebration of Open Space in Falmouth
Thursday evening, February 9, 5-7 pm

FHS Art Gallery & Auditorium

Come view artwork by Falmouth High School Art and Graphics students and video by Oral History Students. Short presentation by Vicky Lowell of The 300 Committee Land Trust.

Artwork will be on display January 23-February 13.
This project is supported by a grant from the Falmouth Education Foundation.

Have fun…discover the Sea Farms conservation area…hot cider & cookies…free Passport to Falmouth Conservation Lands booklet!

     When: Sunday, March 11th
     Time:  Come at 1 pm (finish by 2:30)

Bring your children, grandchildren, neighborhood children to a fun afternoon at the Sea Farms Marsh conservation area off Davisville Road in East Falmouth. 

Volunteers from The 300 Committee will lead a child-friendly, guided walk on easy trails through this 87-acre area bordering Bournes Pond. There is much to be discovered in a typical pine and oak woodland! Enjoy scenic views of two salt water inlets and a salt marsh at Black Duck Cove.

Participants will receive a free Passport to Falmouth’s Conservation Lands. This illustrated booklet is filled with information and activities to encourage hands-on learning — a “must” for families wishing to explore Falmouth lands with children and grandchildren.

Directions: Meet at the unpaved parking area on Gayle Avenue, one mile south on Davisville Road from the lights at East Falmouth Highway (Rte 28).  Questions? please contact Lucy Helfrich at The 300 Committee office 508-540-0876.

Joe's Driving Range WILL become Teaticket Park!

The 300 Committee purchased the 10.7-acre driving range on Teaticket Highway from Bill and Donna Vieira on December 30, 2011. Long-awaited news has finally arrived from Commonwealth of Massachusetts' Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affiars: our project to convert the land to a community park has received a $500,000 PARC grant! Plans for Phase I of the park conversion are moving forward.

The 300 Committee is a private, non-profit land trust dedicated to protecting and preserving open space for the citizens of Falmouth, Massachusetts. Founded by a small group of volunteers to commemorate the Town of Falmouth's 300th anniversary in 1986, it is the largest private land trust on Cape Cod with nearly 1,500 members.
