Peterson Farm Day

Sunday, September 14

Noon to 3:00 p.m.

The town of Falmouth purchased Peterson Farm 10 years ago, preserving one of the oldest farms on the Cape. To celebrate the anniversary, The 300 Committee is hosting an afternoon of activities--tractor rides, a program with live turtles, a bird-banding demonstration, a hands-on craft table, and a nature scavenger hunt. Youngsters will also be able to make a scarecrow for the family garden. Materials will be provided.

Once again, Susan Schoen, whose sheep keep the fields open at Peterson Farm, will demonstrate sheep herding with her border collies.

The events are free. All will take place throughout the afternoon, with the exception of the scarecrow contest, which will begin at 1:00 p.m.

Peterson Farm is off Woods Hole Road, at the entrance to McCallum Drive.

We hope you can come, and bring the whole family!
